I have some boxes ofassorted floor tile and wonder about using it on the coop floor ONLy not the walls.
Think it would be cooler in the summer as they use it in houses in warm climates, but what about winter?.
I will use the deep shaving method so was thinkng it may not hurt actually may help if the bird doo mulch may heat the tiles and help keep it warm...
Missouri is cold in winter, can be zero... and hot 95-100 in summer.

If you don't have a better use for the tile and you are not planning to ever move the coop, I don't see a problem with tile. I suppose it could add some geothermal mass as you pointed out.
