Certifiable Hatch 4 weeks on webcam!

thank you. no it's very bad, my most amazing fiancee, Larry(helps build coops, loves the girls-doesn't' do chores, but that's ok he's awesome) (I have to post a photo/name poster at the coop so he knows who he's holding) his sister most likely has mad cow disease, in 72 hours has become debilitated, can't recognize my lovely Larry..I'm sad sad for him - he had me talk to her today and all she could say was I love you too, but they are looking at my BYC page and laughing about the girls!

so my son (17) he's awesome too, is going to help me candle just so I know the status in case I have to leave tomorrow.

I love you guys for being there. In the end this will be a hatch, not-to-be-believed amazing!!! with all your help and encouragement

Oh no I am so sorry to hear that. I hope the best for her and your fiance. Will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

And your so right were all going to have awesome hatches!!! Good luck on the candling.

Take a picture if you can, I always try but they never seem to work out.

So I'm still in Phoenix with my fiance and dying sister...she's peacefully slipped in to a coma so it will only be a few days now.

On the chicken /egg front - Rob (nifty) is egg-sitting. I candled at day 13 when I left and tossed ten so I'm left with 37 eggs...looks like one even may be twins! Tomorrow is lockdown, poor Rob I have them in my rcom king suro (which he has to figure out how to ge the humidity up) and his hovabator. I sure hope I can get home before the hatch this Saturday. Most disappointed that out of 9 salmon faverolle eggs, 4 were brocken and only one was viable (and that was questionable) at day 13

Finally home after a horrible week of watching a loved one pass and grieving

Picked up the eggs from Nifty and Emily last night as soon as we landed.

On day 20 and just saw our first peep...a mille fleur leghorn!!!

Yes confirmed, mad cow is what they call the animal version - CJD is the human version http://www.cjdfoundation.org/cjddisease.html

Cherylcohen, I'm so sorry to hear of your (and your fiance's) loss.

Good luck on the hatch, a ray of sunlight to you I guess. CJD is an awful way to suffer.
