it was the minnesota board of animal health, you use your own birds when the state vet comes to your farm ,when we took the course they only had samples of tainted and non tained blood we mixed with the antigen to tell the differance

Thanks so much for all the info. I am going to start checking in MS to see if there is anything like that available.
I am sure we all really appreciate you taking the time to explain all that.

Billson - thank you too. All of this is so interesting.

we had to do that to it's for the pollorum rapid plate test. your very welcome for all the info. ur state dept of agriculture is who u need to contact to get u started to find classes near you. if u can't find everything ya all need let me know and i'll try to help ya as much as i can.

we started out to do our own flock for exhibition but we also do friends flocks as well, this year we will be doing the npip testing also. currently we don't advertise just word of mouth to people we know and meet along our poultry journeys. we hope to work on that this year and do up small business to start to do more this area really needs it. we travel to others since we have our own flock to help insure biosecurity.

i hope to when my daughter starts school go to college to become a avian vet. i have 5 kid's so it's to hard with them so young yet. i want to open a bird and wild life refuge someday and make a go of everything i have learned along the way i guess time will tell.
