Construction question. We have a shed and just acquired some 10x10x6 chain link frames and fencing. Planning on creating a run along 3 sides of the shed with the fencing, then running hardware cloth along the bottom. #1. What do I do about the gaps between fence posts and the gate? It needs room to hinge so I don't think I can cover it in HW cloth but it's a decent little gap. And 2. What do i do for a lightweight roof? I don't know where to begin with a frame, out of what, how to attach it to the shed and the fence? Thanks!

On the gaps, I have used 1X4's or 1X6's either "U" bolted in place or screwed with sheet metal screws to attach them. On the gate, attach to the stationary side with an overlap past the gate. On our runs we use chicken wire and various kinds of metal fencing (whatever we either have around or is cheap). At six foot wide you should not need much support at all. If you want shade maybe something like an old trampoline mat of that. If you want rain proof just screw the corrogated steal/fiberglass roofing to the fence supports on the short run. It should be just fine as long as nothing real big gets up there.

I left the wire around the door lose so the door can open but with it secure using zip ties, for the roof I used suntuff corrugated roofing from home depot very light weight and very easy to work with, it surprised me how strong it is I had a foot and a half off snow on it this winter and with a little persuasion it slid right off.
