I always wing feather sex mine within about 1-3 days, & it's worked so far.

I've been learning how to vent sex, been doing good. The wing trick don't always work for me.

I bought the 3 trio, the frizzle was supposed to be a pullet... I figured it was a rooster. Just by the way it sounded. So I planned around him taking over my bantam flock. Gmork is about 6 month I think? No crow yet. Bought Turtle because it was the least rooster acting/looking one. Turtle and Groot are about 10 or 11 weeks old now? Turtles poof makes me question it. But the 3 had lice too. And I think slowed feather growth. Im willing to keep both Turtle and Gmork, if they are roosters. But Groot will have to go fine a home.

I don't vent sex, since it's more difficult, & can harm the chick if you're not careful.

Around that age you should be hearing crowing by now.

Ya, it can be tricky and can harm them but I have lab hands. I also wait for 2 weeks to go by to ensure that I won't hurt their newborn body.
