It's fine. I think there's a death gene somewhere in the genetics that's causing this.

How does a 'death gene' work? I'm new to hatching and chicken genetics, so that sounds like something interesting.

I'm still learning about it too.
I know that 2 copies of the death gene is fatal, may cause death early during development, before, or after hatching.
