Quick question- Do you think that it feels weird to have feathers sprouting out if the scales on the legs? Or is the scales replaced with flesh?

I would imagine so, but I'm not a chicken I guess. Interested in an answer. I've always wondered.

The feathers on the legs replace the scales. They're made out of the same thing.
