I am absolutely no expert, not even half educated on anything that isn’t one of my Golden Comets or Barred Rocks. Although my guess is not an educated one, I’d like to test to see if I’ve learned anything from my reading or if I’ve picked up any relevant observational skills. My guess is roo (please let me know later what pepper ends up really being)! I feel like I noticed a small difference in the tail feather structure...See it?Ok, can I get y’alls vote on Pepper?
He/she is 16-17 weeks. His/Her sister, Salt, is a pretty girl for sure. But Pepper has sprouted some wattles.
But that’s the only male trait about him. I have five other pullets, and as far as I can tell he‘s on the bottom. No saddles, no crowing, tail is a pretty fan with no long or shiny feathers. Face is the only thing that looks male to me. Same size as the others. Was the runt as a chick.
Guesses? In the back. Dominique.
