Change of chicken color

I recently had a Rhode Island hen go into molt, as where as she lost most of her feathers. When she grew back her feathers, most of the feathers were white. Now she is a molted red and white. Is this normal, or should she have retained the red feathers?

She might have something else in her background. For example- Speckled Sussex tend to get more white every time they molt. So do some mottled breeds.
