Of my three new hens, one is about a month old, and two are 2 months old. The youngest one, a black Silkie, is being treated with tetracycline for a snotty nose. They've actually all been drinking it since Thursday evening, and the Silkie is doing much better now.
I've been feeding them ManaPro medicated chick starter. I'm going to switch them to Purina Start & Grow, but had planned to transition them gradually.
I was gone this weekend (Navy Reserve duty), and my neighbor poured the little ManaPro I had left out into the roost. Is transitioning necessary, or is it ok to just start feeding the Purina when the ManaPro runs out? If transitioning is best, I'll go get some more ManaPro.
