I have a Farm Innovators Incubator with an automatic egg turner I have been using to incubate and hatch chicken eggs. I decided to incubate some Coturnix quail eggs and ordered quail rails to change out the chicken egg rails for quail hatching. I changed them out and now it's not turning. It seems that I may be putting the pin on the motor at the wrong place on the slot where it slides up and down to turn the trays. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR POINTERS? The motor IS running ---- I can feel it and hear it. Thank you in advance for your help.

Looks like the motor is in a bind with the arm mechanism try taking it apart again starting with the motor and then rails repeat this order putting it back together. Also did you order farm innovator rails?

Yes, I did.......Do you think the pin should be down when the motor is put back on?

Honestly it doesn't matter the position of the pin. Adjust the actuator arm to the pin, the rails should follow the arm. if the rail are all going in the same direction you should be fine I would show you min but I'm currently incubating Coturnix eggs also.

No problem at all!!!

I took the motor off again, repositioned the trays and slid the pin in to where it was not bound, matched up the holes and tightened the screws. It appaears to be right now. I've plugged it in and going to watch it a while to make sure it's turning. Thank you so much for your help.....I am thinking I had finally gotten frustrated with it.....today it seemed fairly simple...........IF IT WORKS!

See what you think looking at the new pics.

I'm glad it's working you want see it move right away it takes a few hours to make its revolutions I'd suggest a couple of golf balls to test it out before you put your eggs in.

Yes, I plugged it in about an hour ago and it hasn't moved very far, but I can tell it's moving.

Thanks for the response, help, and encouragement!

And good luck on your Coturnix hatch --- let me know how it goes!

Well..............it STILL wouldn't work.........going to check the motor today to see if it is actually rotation the pin.
