Changing feed from granule to pellets

I have kept my chickens on TSC laying crumbles for 3 years with great results and egg production but...am having trouble with feed breaking down in bags. QUESTION: how much "shock" should my flock feel if I change from granule to pellet in the same brand feed? How long should pellets last verses granule. I get about 3 weeks out of a 50# bag of granules now.

Not much, if any. Even between brands the ingredients are vary similar.

The same. Like you eating hamburger or steak, the amount of food is the same.

Mine transitioned without any issue whatsoever....good luck!!
