One other thought...make sure you do not have a rat stealing eggs.
I've had black snakes steal eggs in the past but snakes are usually a summer time problem.

Originally for this years decline in production I thought it was from a rooster we got with this most recent additions but we got rid of him months ago with no changes. And we free range only on occasion.

Good idea but I’ve never seen a rat or snake near their coop

The 2.5 year olds are a mix of RIR and barred rocks, earlier in the season I figured they should still be laying decent at that age.

When did these 2.5 yr olds last lay?
Did they molt?

The new ones are SLW, OE and possibly a maran.

The birds are less than one year, right?
Have they layed? Last egg?

There's a lot of conspiracies out there regarding poultry feed. And people tend to rush and blame the feed for any kind of issues they have. Purina flock raiser is fine. I've been feeding it exclusively for about 5 years (with crushed eggshell on the side) and never had any issues.
