Changing from old to new

Hi I have a problem as I have added some new hens to my flock there house was not big enough. So we have made a new one, which looks brilliant so very pleased with it, problem is they don't seem to want to go in it at night. Last night I closed the door of the old one thinking they would go in. When I went down to see we're they gone all 7 of the were sitting on the top of the old hen house please can someone tell me what to do.

Chickens are, if nothing else, creatures of habit. Put them in the new coop for a couple of days...lock em up so they can't come out at all. Until they get used to the new home, the old home is always where they are going to go.

Do what McGobs said, but let me add: Remove the old coop, and put the new one in the location of the old one....
