Since I discovered the wonderful world of BYC I have created my own backyard chicken consulting business, and I'd like to update my username to something a bit more professional as a result. What do you guys think?
First of all, does anyone know if it's even still possible to have the mods change my username? I know it's been done before, but I'm not sure how recently and if that ability went away with the huge increase in membership on the site.
Assuming it's still possible, the two options I'm deciding between are my company name (Yardbirds Backyard Chickens) or my "public persona" and blog (The Chickeness).
I'm leaning more towards "The Chickeness" as the better choice, because anything I post on here will be my personal thoughts, recommendations, etc, as an individual, which at some point may be differentiated from those of my company. I also don't want people to mistake me for a breeder/supplier, which I could see happening a lot.
Thoughts? Pros and cons?
