Changing the ordinance in Maple Grove, Minnesota

Unfortunately I don't have the time. I'm a mom of two young children, with a baby coming in the Spring plus work full time as a nurse practitioner. However I will plan on asking opposing candidates their stance in the next elections.
I think the real issue is Maple Grove is too affluent an area. People don’t want the “trash” (misconception) of chickens. They think it will make it lose value and curb appeal.
 
It's disappointing. Maybe with turnover in the council in the future and if we can prove the majority is for or at least neutral to backyard chickens, it may change.
It will be 4 more years for Kristy. She said she’s not sure she wants to do another term afterwards. But thats still 4 more years before her seat is vacant. Not sure about the other members. It just sucks that they’re so against. No ducks or quail either. Of course with covid, it’s possible some seats will empty… lol
