I'm using my homemade incubator to hatch 14 pekin eggs. i'm on day 15 and we are using a heat lamp hooked up to a dimmer switch so we can control the temp. its held pretty steady, but i'm just wondering if i should switch which eggs get the most heat. they are in a styrophoam tray and the side farther from the side holding the light is always a TINY bit warmer because the bulb is shining more directly on them. should i turn the tray so the ones closer to the light get the same amount of heat the other ones did for the last 15 days? that way the temps would be even, or should i just leave it?
sorry that this sounds so confusing! i'm just afraid the ones slightly warmer could grow faster and be deformed and switching them would keep that from happening, but i'm afraid that switching them would cause other babies to be deformed too.
