I feel so stupid about this! We have a loft in our coop (it's a converted shed) and there are still some things up there from before I owned this place; cushions from outside furniture, a couple old paint cans, I wasn't concerned that they could knock anything over, but apparently there was a very old bottle of charcoal lighter that I wasn't aware of. It looks like last night some chickens got into the loft, and knocked over the charcola fluid and it was so old it actually broke. Everything is okay but it smells bad in there. I removed all the tainted straw, but there is a dark wet spot on the wood surface. What should I do? Is there anything I can pour on that spot to nuetralize it? I have nowhere to move the chickens, it's been snowing. It's just such a mess. ugh. Any help os appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
