I currently have a mixed flock, animals (small like a mink) got into my first flock and I had to remodel the chicken coop to make it animal proof, I have two bluff colored hens left from that flock and 6 hens and 1 rooster which are mid-sized, Partridge Cochin which have just begun to lay, only have 4 eggs so far, not laying at a regular rate yet, I also have 6 young pullets, which are 3 months away from laying they are full size dark Partridge Cochin, so 16 total, I have older neighbors which will take the extra eggs, I also have a very large dog, but he does not have access to the chicken coop, but other wise guards the house and grounds, our farm is 33 acres total located in Northeast, Arkansas
