Seems like she got her foot caught in her hen saddle somehow, & I guess the other birds in the coop thought she was injured, & went to eat her alive.

The only injuries she got, since it was caught early enough was, a deep wound in the thigh muscle, some missing skin, plucked pin feathers, & a couple cuts.

She was also an almost naked heavy molting hen too. The ironic thing is she's on this year's butcher's list.

She got a warm antibacterial bath, Triple Antibiotic Ointment, Blue food Dye to cover the red areas/wounds, vitamins for shock, & dressed in different hen saddles to give her some coverage. Different design so she doesn't get stuck again.

Could have been worse. At least they didn't get the chance to open her up from the back end.

Usually when most of the birds are done molting, and it's usually done this month before Thanksgiving. But the majority of the birds this year are going through an unpredicted hard molt for some reason.
