hey alaskan what specific problems are ya having with the incubator ?
The temperature differences are HUGE, so if one end of the egg tray is reading 99 to 100 in temps, the other end is reading around
94!!. And then the other day it had a totally out of nowhere spike up to 107, I think it was, even though the room temp was only 4 degrees higher than it had been.
The super high spike MIGHT have only been for a second, so that is why there is a low chance the eggs are still OK..... But I have a thermometer that records the lows and highs, and then when I check the incubator I write down the lows and highs and then reset it, so I will know what the lows and highs are for the next period of time that I am not watching it.
But, this is SO screwy. The incubator has a fan, so the temps should NOT be that spotty. The fan is SUPPOSED to move the air around and even out the temps.
I just think the entire thing is fritzing out. I think it is 15 years old...at a guess.
So, it sorta is to be expected, I guess.
