I need some advice. What is the best way to introduce a younger flock to an older flock. There's about a month difference in age. Any help would be useful. Or is there a better thread to ask this question on. Signed troubled in Arkansas

usually its best to have them seperated first where they can see eacn other .. then slowly get them closer ... if ya need to put them in same pen fast ..id say sneak the younger ones in at night and get up and watch them real close .... but i am not a expert .. just personal experience ..and welcome to the thread..anyone else have suggestions ?

I just shuddered when I first saw that carton. Glad to see you getting those veins. Gooooo chickies!! Just got off the phone with my 9 year old niece (1 1/2 hours, lives in MS) who loves to stay with us. DH and I get her and another 10 yo old niece, next weekend. Nooo sleep for me, heehee We love 'em!

Henman, what she said! Just be ready, sometimes their will be a little agression, but usually resolves quickly. May have to try a few times, that hen pecking ritual is tough on me. . . Goood luck and stick around.
