Hope all is well!!
Tony, r ya mite free now?
Chirp- Great info- thanks for sharing!! I will not whack you with the yardstick- You are being good!!!!
Bush, your new little hen is too cute!!
No Bellah? No Broody?
Gotta let the dog out, BRB
Quote: What a chore- doesn't sound like much fun! Im going to get some of those strips Chirp was talking about, I think- Hopefully that will prevent them for me- I don't want to have to try to catch and dust them- But, Question- when you dust them like that, can you eat the eggs that are laid, or do you have to wait? And......do the chickens eat the dust? i think I would be afraid that they would ingest it while foraging. I do not let mine out of the enclosed runs though, so mine would be foraging in the run. Just asking for future reference, I haven't seen any signs of mites, but could happen, and the way my luck (or lack thereof) runs...........well, I think I should just leave it at that, for fear of bringing it on by talking too much![]()
Glad you got that under control, what a pain the whole thing sounds like, Tony- You are a good chicken Papa!!!!
YAY BushMy camera doesnt want to behave today, but as soon as it does I'll have TONS of pics!I named the little black one Mickey Mouse![]()
Quote: That IS funny!!!! I know the feeling!!

This group freaks out every time I open the lid of the brooder.....makes me crazy when I want to take a pic. I haven't had a lot of time to handle these guys, and that's why, I assume- my others have not been like that. My mutts are getting big too, well, they are all bantams, so not too big, but definitely growing very fast. Not the greatest pic, but these mutts are fast movers!! So I ended up with 3 that are white with black splash, and one all white, and the weirdo.![]()

And don't even get me started on the darn DUCKS- I swear I have never ever seen anything that grows that FAST!! They have to be close to adult size now and are only 9 weeks old!!!![]()
They are becoming very beautiful, though. Hard to get the true colors of the iridescence in their feathers through the camera.......,.

Crazy dork ducks!!!!! I really enjoy watching them preen when I refresh their water in the little pool. I am imagining peaceful mornings after all is done, just drinking my cup o' joe and watching them do their thing. But for now, they are more added to my day, and I am JUST TIRED!![]()

What appears as white on the above pic isn't, just hard to not get that glare......

This is the female, Dana. She is very sweet and always 'talks' to me!!!!! Otto the drake is sweet too, but I like Dana better, she is friendlier, I think....![]()
They are very comical, and I am so glad they are outside now! I must muster the energy to dig out the table saw from the shed and get their house and pen built, but it is so hard with everything going on and I am flat exhausted from all the happenings. The plan was to do it yesterday, but I just couldn't, no energy!! I got a little extra sleep yesterday, but not enough....I am already in need of a nap today![]()
I think there has just been so much stress over the last few weeks that I just can't get with it
