Hi Alaskan!!!!
I would leave the beads now.....the reason that it is fluctuating I would say could be the rocks went in at a lower temp and brought the over all temp down. Make sure they are not touching anything else. DITTO as stated above
I have never incubated, but I have read where others have stated about the egg shells hardness affecting the hatch .

Mornin Kids!!!!!!
HOpe everyone had fun yesterday!!!!
LOL I know y'all saw that I got the posts set.....one is WWAAAYYYYYY off, but I cannot complain too much, DH was being eaten ALIVE by all the mosquitoes, and getting nasty attitude, so I told him I would fix it today while he is off in town.....don't know if I will get it done, but I am going to try. He told me yesterday the only way to fix it is to pull it out and redig the hole with the auger-
I AM NOT TRYING TO USE THAT THING!!!!!!!!
DH is not a big guy, and it was throwing him around everytime it hit a root- not really, but he has the strength to hold it ....I do not, and I can just see me trying to pull that thing back up out of the hole....if I were to even get that far. It has a pull start like a lawnmower, i doubt I could even get it started at all!!!!!!
I figure, the hole is now filled with dirt that was JUST dug out, right? I can do it with the irrigation shovel

i went with 8x12 for ease of measurements.

I guess after I get that post fixed, I need to dig a trench around the bottom outside so I can set the wire down in there a little.
Maybe before that I need to screw 2x4s to the posts to keep them in place.....LOL

TONY- HELP!!!!!!!! LOL

Hey ya'll and good morning.

Yep, another day in the coops and gardens for me. Today is day 3 on chickie worm protocol. Then a break for 10 days and repeat again. Soon, they will all be on cruise control, soon. . .

Takes so long to finish 25 squirming, squealing chickies.

Sure makes me appreciate our 2 older flocks. They already have their manners about them and so easy to work with since they know the ropes.

Welcome Chickadoodles, hope you stick around and have some fun with us! Chicknfun, she's converting some of her pens to accomodate open air pen concepts, great for the south.

Love your duck pond/pen!

Silver, still working your magic wand with those hatching baby chicks, huh? Nice job!

Alaskan, you're setting eggs? Please post your progress. Silver is an Ace with hatching help, how to tips.
