So, Chica- do you eat your flock at the end of the season?
I will only have abt. 5 Aussie hens that will lay eggs and I am trying to decide if we are going to keep the Aussie's next year or try a different bird? We will keep the EE's we have if all goes well. But I might like to try a lighter colored bird to breed with my EE Roo to try to get some pink eggs. A project I am researching.

I didnt get blue eggs ever put do have a RIR that strangely lays a pink egg ... and she is pure RIR ... and no extra nutrients etc has ever changed it lol she is just an oddball ... its actually so light brown that it looks pink ... but she hasnt started laying yet this year .. and she may not .. she is getting up there in age

I get some creamy pink eggs out of one of my ee's I love those girls!! just put 2 bluesEE eggs under my broody hen this morning

I won't know for a little while yet what my EE's will give me as far as color. But I do know I want some pink eggs! Crazy I know but that's what I want.... I will love all the colors I get as well. I have some pretty EE's and a couple that are very fuggly. But I will wait and see what they turn out to do.
