I have a tractor design I got from BYC some time back, in the pre-Update days. I paid for the plans but can't even remember what its called, now. But it was under $100, requiring only some 2x4's, two sheets of plywood and wire farm-fence material. With scrounging you could probably shave a bit here an there on costs. It is an innovative, ideal small coop, can be made predator proof and fits well into the permaculture scheme. It is no longer shown on their listings and the designer may have gone away.
It also doubles as a greenhouse/brooder and will house ten or so chickens. It has wheels and can be moved easily by one person AND you can stand up in it! DO NOT sneer at that feature, trust me.
