So I did it. I bought the cheap incubator made in China. It was a deal at auction and thought why not?
My other incubator that I’m use to running is the 360 nature right.
So I’ve run this new incubator for a few days so I could fiddle with it and make any adjustments needed.
I do have a separate reader in the incubator to tell me the temp and humidity.
To my surprise it’s really stays constant.
The temperature is actually pretty accurate to the digital panel on the incubator (slightly lower around the edges of incubator).
The humidity on the panel reads 10% higher then what my separate reader tells me.
So if the incubator is reading 60% it’s actually 70%.
Here’s my issue…the damn low humidity alarm!!
I need to get my incubator to ready 45-50% humidity on the panel, for it to actually be 55-60% humidity.
If the incubator reads anything before 45% the stupid alarm goes off and will not shut off.
Instructions say to press the “green button” to shut it off…there is no green button lol. I’ve pushed every dang button.
I’ve also set the humidity (AS) to 30% and the alarm still goes off in the humidity it below 45%.
Anyone know how to fix this?
I’m tempted to have my husband look to see if he can snip the humidity wire to turn the darn thing off forever without 1. Breaking the unit and 2. Not leaving a live cut wire in a wet environment lol.
Any tips?
Thank you

I just got one that does that alarm crap..first go. So I set the low and high alarm for multiple degrees higher or lower then the high/low setting so it wouldn't go off.. mine is different then yours but yours probably has that feature. I just check it frequently.

Mine only seems to have the high and low alarm to set for temperature.

You can set the alarms really low or high. Or are you saying the alarm sets the actual temp. How is everything going? I set my alarms where it has to be really high to go off. Or really low..I have to check it a lot though.

I have one of those incubators and find it hard to keep accurate temperature at the sides, and have had dips in temps. The alarm settings can be adjusted on mine , i think there is you-tube clip on how to work it. good luck.
