Cheap old cell phone coop cam

I wanted to be able to monitor my brood of chicks from the office. I installed the Alfred App on an old mobile phone (Galaxy S6), used an old mounting device for the dash of a car to hold the camera, screwed it to the hen house wall, and have been very satisfied with the results. I can access the camera on my phone and computer over my home wifi network or via data when I'm away from the house. I did happen to have an old wifi range extender that I put to use as well. Given that this didn't cost me an additional dime, I'm quite pleased with the results. There are some good tutorials on YouTube. The photo shows it's siesta time!

I just want to make sure I’m seeing your layout correctly because it never occurred to me to consider this as an option 🤦🏽‍♀️ Do you have your nesting boxes under your poop boards?

For those that use this - do you have the phones connected to a power source all the time or do you take them out to charge every day or so? I would imagine this would drain batteries pretty quickly
