would it be a better choice to buy pigeons from a specific loft or breeder than to buy from backyard breeders from Craigslist? I’m not looking for certain genetics(at the momen!) but I am definitely looking for birds to fill my aviaries

You can do whatever fits your time, budget and preference! I would suggest getting them from a specific and reliable breeder than on craigslist. However, someone on craigslist might be a better option for you or a great breeder! If you have current pigeons or want any in the future, best is to get them from someone who is a specialized and knowledgeable pigeon breeder so the others don't get sick. Good luck!

Just because it's on craigslist doesn't mean it's not reputable. I have found several good breeders / sellers of other animals on that site.
