Im new to raising Chickens. These ladies are now getting out of there bucket and roaming around my garage. I have taken out there heat lamp and have turned the heat off in the garage to get them used to the normal temperature. They are doing great but are getting big and want to roam. Im thinking to put them in there coop this weekend. What do you think?

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Looking at your pic they seem to be pretty much fully feathered so you are doing the right thing by getting them used to having no heat source. I'm sure they should be fine by the weekend to go out to the coop as long as you dint have really cold temps. I'm sure they wil very much appreciate room to roam.

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

What age are they? You could put them in coop during the day for a few days to see how they adjust, and if they are roosting near sunset, I'd leave them in there. It also depends how many you have to know if they can create enough warmth. If I know it is windy or colder than usual, I zip strip a tarp on the coop.
They sure look cute. Good luck
