Check out the comb and wattles on Honey!

Indeed, she is gorgeous. However, those large wattles and comb indicate she is getting ready to lay but they have no affect on egg size. Egg size is primarily dictated by body capacity. Google "egg layer body capacity" and you'll find out about it.

Awwwwww

We named her 'Honey' because she is just an absolute doll. She loves being cradled like a baby, and will even lay her head on my arm and nap. She purrs too when you pet her... I swear I'd bring her in the house if I could. lol. As for her breed... it says in the catalog from the hatchery that she is a 'Columbian Rock x Red' what ever that means. Perhaps the common name for that cross is a Delaware? I really don't know. I have 5 others like Honey too, and they are all very docile and sweet birds.

Delaware is a breed that looks just like her, but, with barring. Your girl does not show any indication that she has barring(it is visible only on the black parts of tail and neck, if present). So yours may very well be that cross OR she may be a pure Columbian Rock(I think more likely as her white is very clean with no brown/red leaking anywhere, which is what often happens in a white/black crossed with reds).

BTW I completely agree she's a very nice looking hen, very well taken care off too.
