Let's see... It's only 6,243 km from Japan to Hawaii, and 4,436 km from Hawaii to Washington state.

Who wants to become REALLY famous, LOL! I can see it in the newspaper now... The front page headlines would read "Courageous Man/Woman Crosses The Pacific Ocean In A Kayak!" or "Foolish Man/Woman Dies Trying To Kayak Across The Pacific Ocean."
