I haven't made a final decision on the replacement boy for Lester yet. There are currently 5 candidates that are looking awesome. I will grow them to maturity to be sure before anyone gets a name. Naming them just makes it harder to part with them later. We went through a ton of roosters to get down to this final 5, so now we wait until the adult plumage comes in and full body shape fills in more. I spend a lot of time with my birds. always looking them over with a critical eye. That's what makes hatching in such volume so important..to find the right specimen to carry on our project. I am just thrilled with how these guys are coming along.
