I had a broody silkie sit on a bunch of mixed eggs and this one appears to have 2 copies of the fizzle gene. Love the bump on its bald head. It is a week old in this pic. All my chickens are stuck in one big pen while we are still working on the chicken barn...

The freaky thing is it appears that she hatched one pure lav orp, one pure silkie and pure polish!!! The rest look like they are mutts but apparently my roosters prefer their own hens!!

This chick is still happy and healthy and doing great! It does not appear to be growing much but it eats and drinks and is super fast. It has a vaulted skull that is bald.
