Check out this old incubator!

I was at an auction this weekend and came across this antique incubator. Totally cool. There is a small oil burner that sits in the bottom. I don't know if they worried about humidity or not.

Anyway, I thought it was neat looking. Hope you all like the picts - people were like trying to figure out why in the world would someone be taking a picture of that thing!

Only you guys can relate I'm sure.

This is at a bid board auction if anyone has ever heard of it. There is a yellow post card on it where you write in your bids. You have four weeks at this auction to write in bids, each one higher than the last. Then on the first Saturday of each month they have a grand finale and everyone is given a last chance to bid on items. They allow bidding wars til someone finally bows out. So far this has a bid of $5.00 on it. I couldn't believe it only had one bidder so far. There's a rooster lamp there, too, and it's got a bid of $10.00 on it already. I'll see if I can find a pict of it. I am guessing this is from the 60's or 70's but I don't know for sure.

Okay, I found the rooster light. It's tempting to bid on both of these things. HennyJenny, that's kind of what I was thinkin when I saw the incubator.

I believe this is older than 60's or 70's. Even rural communities had power in the 1950's. The company that made this was around in the 1930's. Any Antique Roadshow buffs on here? ;0)
