Miss Lydia will be proud to know I'm doing it all by myself. My husband drew it up for me on google sketch up. I still need to build the door (one big one for me with a pop door for the ducks). I also need to get the roof. I'll be using corrugated plastic. Then I'll attach hardware cloth to the openings on the top side walls for ventilation. Then I'll decide where I want it, level the ground, and fill it with gravel. Here is my progress. (I started at 11:30 and stopped for a break at 3) GIRLS ARE AWESOME!!!!

Nice! We are building a chicken coop at the moment. We want to try to get three of them done before winter... hopefully.

Thanks guys! I used a framing nailer, an air stapler, and a chop saw. The right tools make the job a lot faster.

I need to go out and get started on building another coop/pen for my Pair of Calls but I'm a slacker..

I changed my mind on the door. I'm just making one large door for all of us to use. Much simpler that way and less hardware means less money. I got the door built before dinner tonight. My husband is at Lowe's buying the roof panel and nails,washers, and caulk. Tomorrow I'll put up the roof, the door, and staple on the hardware cloth. I really have to decide where to put their run and what to fence it out of. Right now I'm using portable dog pen sections but I have a bunch of welded wire fencing I could use too. I also need to rig up some netting over the top. I'm tired...
