Crazy thing happened this morning. We gave our Chickens a large watermelon rind over the weekend. Last night my husband put the chickens away and did a head count. He had a hard time seeing all of our black sexlinks as it’s dark and one likes to sit in the corner. He just assumed it was there and locked the door. This morning he went to let the chickens out. First he put the food out and went to flip over the watermelon rind that was left and out jumped a chicken! Though a little messy, chicken seems fine and ate with all the others but we have no idea how long she was under there. The rind wasn’t heavy and she could have easily pushed it off herself but I guess she just sat there since it was dark.
