In the Brooder
Hi!
My dad went out into our coop today to feed our chickens, and one hen got herself caught in our sand bath we have. It is a tire with sand in it, and she wedged herself in the tire and was unable to get out. After my dad got her out, she laid there for 2-3 minutes before getting up. After she got up he gave her some mealworms and she was eating totally fine with our other chickens. She is acting totally fine now, eating and running around with our other hens.We are not sure how long she was trapped in there for, but her crop is full so I know isn’t wasn’t an all day deal. Other than diarrhea (from stress) and maybe not laying eggs for a couple of weeks, is there anything else I should look out for?
