Checking fertility

Can anyone tell me if one or both of these eggs is fertilized or if it is possible to tell from these?

My thought is the smaller egg is fertilized and not the larger yolk but i have never attempted hatching.


I do have an active roo

I think if they were fertile there would be a bullseye of white on the yolks. I’m not seeing that from the picture but you could get a better look. Based on the pic, I’d say they aren’t. buuutt I’m no expert :confused:

I agree. The pictures do not indicate fertilization as they lack the bullseye, but cannot exclude it either especially if the the eggs were older, frozen/refridgerated at some point.
 
I cannot see the germinal disc on either one. Sometimes you have to kinda flip the yolk over to see it. An infertile egg will have more of a small white dot on while a fertile egg has the bullseye as mentioned above.

This! The yolk only has one germinal disc on it. Half the time it will be on the underside of the egg when you crack the egg.
