I picked up chicks and some breeds I wanted were substituted. The were all sexed pullets but questioning one, maybe 2. One I think is a prairie bluebell. The other 3 not sure. I know lavender for 2 but Orpington????

They are 16 weeks.

The red one I have no idea on breed, it is bigger than the rest and always has been. Thinking pullet though?

The 2 lavenders there are 3 pics of #1 and 2 of #2. Not sure on breed or gender.

Last I think is a prairie bluebell and think maybe pullet?

All are pullets. The lavenders are Orpingtons, you are correct about the Prairie Bluebell egger, and I think the red one is a Calico Princess or similar hatchery hybrid.

*I believe the red one is a Hampbar after looking at Hoover Hatchery's website.

Thanks. One of the lavenders was really throwing me off since it's comb got bigger and pink sort of early and the bit of a curve to the tail but didn't notice pointy saddle feathers still at 16 weeks.

What is odd is the lavenders looked different as chicks. One had a dark beak, one was light and think one had a yellow legs and one dark legs. She was thinking a sapphire olive egger for both....

At 16 weeks, cockerels would show male specific feathering, and there is none.

Lavender Orpingtons can be variable in color as chicks. I can't think what else they'd be because there aren't any other lavender varieties on Hoover's website.

Ok thanks. That is what I thought.

I am not sure what hatchery this person gets their chicks from. Guess I see what color eggs they lay if I can figure out who lays. Lol
