Cheek puffs on duckling

I have two ducklings and one(on the right) is what I thought was a Pekin, but it has these feather poofs on its cheeks. I was wondering anyone knows what those are?

[TLWR]

I'm guessing the poof might be the little spot of feathers that sticks out behind and below the eye - that's his ear. That ducklings feathers just don't lay quite as flat across the ear.

Unless you mean something else, and I don't see it either.
