Do you have any objects for their amusement in the brooder with them (mirror, stuffed animal, sticks, etc.)? Maybe they're a little bored and need something new to play with.

I hadn't really thought of giving them toys . . . the box is already kinda small as they've grown . . . and I never would have thought of giving them a stuffed toy! Tell me more . . . what would they like, what's safe, what doesn't get gross and poopy? I do want happy chickies!

I am thinking parakeets and I would buy toys for those type of birds. But hey - my chicks never had that. My live-in fiance would think I am completely nuts! I will just let them keep on peck peck pecking at my mudroom door!
