Cheep coop and run

I'm thinking of trying to get a rooster and a couple hens to have some fertile eggs to hatch, I would like to keep them away from the rest of my chickens so I can more closely breed him with the hens selectively/in breed breed only. I need some ideas on a New England (eastern mass) predator safe small coop and run, and I would like to build it myself. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

All you need is a 3x4 shipping crate or doghouse , ventilated with a hinged roof, set inside a chain link dog kennel that is skirted, topped and has the bottom 18" overlaid hardware cloth to block reaching thru. You can find the dog house and run on Craigslist and the wooden shipping crate from a freight company or hardware store

Y'all think a small coop & run like this would be ok for a rooster and 2 - 3 hens??
