I tried looking it up but couldn't find any info....can chickens eat cheese? Just trying to find more treats to give the girls. We often have that shredded cheddar cheese left in the packets that doesn't get eaten...would be nice to give it to the girls instead of eventually throwing it away. :)

thanks!

I do and they love it. It's a bit high in fat and sodium, though. I just don't give them a lot or very often. I think they think the grated stuff is worms.

My chickens adore cheese. I think that it's their favorite treat, and it hasn't made them sick yet.

YAY! I'm always looking for something new to give the girls as a treat. They are so spoiled! Thanks for the help.

Cheese is on the list of the many delicious foods my chickens get. Not everyday or anything, but in winter I feel they need a bit more fat and protein since they're not able to forage for worms and bugs.
