We are on day 18 of incubation. I will be candling for the last time…excited for chicks! I will be posting daily updates here…starting with day 18

Day 18: It’s candling day! I will be candling at night as well as taking out the turner. I will be attaching photos soon. Currently we have 5 eggs in the incubator, all fertile and alive as of day 15 . 2 white eggs (Leghorn x EE), 2 brown eggs (Golden comet x EE), and 1 cream egg (Golden laced Wyandotte x EE). By now, the eggs have been through quite a lot, including getting a broken egg on them, being babysat by a broody hen, and being moved back to the safety of the incubator.

Day 18: Here are the 5 eggs!
So far they all look alive…to me at least. Was definitely late to post pictures, but yeah.
