I cant wait to start turning and baby sitting these guys.

Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain :

I've discovered that the cure for impatience when it comes to hatching is to hatch as many eggs as you can for 3 months straight!!!

I used to know exactly when my eggs were due - now I have to keep notes, and only if they're due within the next 24 hours to I start to pace! LOL!

*giggle!*

I would be in EGG Heaven if I could hatch for 3 months straight!

I may need a little help. My Chick-a-bator was holding an internal temp on the water weasle between 99.1 and 100.1 and when I put the eggs in the incubator , I left them for about an hour and went back and checked the temp was at 101.5. I instantly lowered the thermostat a little. I am going to let that cycle a couple of times befor I go to sleep. Any suggestions?

When you put cold eggs in it takes a while to cycle back to the right temps. Keep and eye on it. Air temps change faster than water temps.

My hatch is still looking promising

Had 6 bad eggs last night when I candled... but I still have 25 left

Have a question......

Ok, I put these in on the 29th... in the evening.. I think it was around 8 pm or so. Trying to make sure I have the dates right for the hatch. By my estimates..... Stop turning Sat the 17th and bump up humidity for hatching Sun - Tues. Does that sound right??? Or should I wait until Sun morning to bump up the humidity??? Will that amount of time even matter?

I am no expert but I bumped my humitity the night I stopped turning my eggs at day 18. Then you are not suppose to open that bator for anything. At least that was what I was told

Just a note my Designer chickies from Julie are just out of this world. I will have to post pics but crazy day today maybe tonight if I can get my son to help

Hi MissPrissy;

This morning my temps are swinging from 97.5 to 100.9, I know that there are two different sizes of water weasles. The one I am using is about 4 1/2inches in length. and about the size of a small egg in diameter. I knnow that the small one is usually used for quail and other eggs of that size. I need to know if I have the right one as I haven't seen both of them. If I have the smaller one I will shoot for an averave temp of 99.5

YES Zookeeper!!! You MUST post pics!!!! I just cannot wait until Sun-Tues to know what the little buggers are gonna possibly look like!!!!
