How are you keeping any humidity with this setup? I would not attempt hatching any more eggs until you can buy or put together an actual incubator.

did you help this chick out of the shell?

The yoke sac is gone so gone but cord looks like still attached to egg kinda very little blood was in lining when pipped so made opening bigger and is all most out but the cord attachment concerns me like said he's very active lying on side keep flipping him over so don't hopefully overheat kicking peeping sticking out little tongue seems ok for most part anything I should do now or just keep visual through the night

Yes have a humidifier going in floor beside dresser

How are you measuring humidity and temperature?

And what inhibition does your husband have to setting up a real incubator? Surely it can't be that he doesn't want you to hatch chicks, because you are already attempting to do that.

Is it the cost?

Using theomoniter touching his body scan thermoniter running 95 to 98 on his body my husband said no to incubator try to do you what you can this way have other eggs the moms abandon did test three wobbled in the float test so are live still this is the last batch sold rooster last Saturday only he's pretty active and peeping occasionally feel his body to touch too and if feels to hot or dry pulling away from light for a while then putting back have towel over him too with open end for oxygen exchange breathing seems fine

Do you have a proper brooder set up for this chick? This really isn't ideal. Those bulbs can get extremely hot at close range and he can easily overheat. You need to have a brooder where he can go to the other side if he gets to hot.
