chic with growth that looks like a 3rd leg...??

One of the chics we just got has something coming out of her left side, just above where her leg is. It almost looks like it was her leg bone but feeling her leg and everything seems connected right. She limps around and doesn't seem to like to walk too much, but doesn't cry when she's bumped by the others or falls. Her left leg is definitely not stable and twists a lot. The "growth" has fuzz on it still and sticks straight out and then ends, maybe a 1/2" long. Any ideas what is going on? It's very sad watching her struggle.

Very well could be a third leg. Deformities happen and often deformities of extremities are not fatal like those of the head which are relatively common.
