My chick had a head sore/lump that got better with neosporin 2-3x daily. Once it started looking normal, with no swelling, I stopped treatment. Today I’ve noticed the swelling is back and it’s spread down her neck. She’s got multiple spots now. I put Poultry Veterceryn and Pick No More on it- hence the purple. She is acting normally and healthy otherwise. Any ideas?? She’s had this for about a week, and will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. She is a Lavender Orpington. She seems itchy so I’m wondering about mites? I haven’t seen any though.

Is that what it looked like? I need to buy that stuff you suggested, but I thought it was getting better... ugh.
It was similar, but not as bad as yours. Her adult feathers are having a hard time coming out, you don't want it getting infected!
Kiwi got it at 4wks then it went away. It came back at 8wks, that's when she went to the vets.

It is getting better now, she is still a bit bald (Idk if it will ever completely disappear) but its definitely getting better

My chick had something very similar, If not the exact same thing about a year ago.. I posted a full description of what I did to treat it on another post if you want to read that! My gal completely recovered, and her neck feathers grew back in fully! You can’t even tell there was something wrong!

To me it looks like another chick has pecked her head raw. Are all of the chicks the same age, or is she around older chickens? I would use Chlorhexidene mixed with water to make it 2%, or Vetericyn spray, and top it off with plain Neosporin ointment twice a day. Separate her where she can be with others, but cannot be pecked until the scabs are healing.
