Chick acting not normal

Ok I will try and get it cool. I got an from a feed store in Odessa,fl so I'm not sure where they came from before. But i sent my bf like 45mim away to get the nutri drench so hope that helps also.
Give them the nutri drench and hope for the best. Sometimes weak chicks just don't manage to survive long after being shipped from the hatchery to the feed store and then a new home. It's a lot for young chicks to go through. They don't always make it, even if everything is done perfectly. Some feed stores will offer replacements or refunds for chicks that die within 48 hours.

Well came home to dead chick☹.. I am going to be replacing that one in the flock. Unsure if I want to get another RIR or get a cuckoo maran. I already have 2 Amerucanas and 1 RIR any thoughts on if this is a good idea to mix the flock while they are still young?

If you get another chick it will have to be from an NPIP facility as chicks are quite suceptible to diseases.
Personally, I would leave your flock for now.

I disagree here, I say add a chick now. It is a pain to raise different ages and then integrate, or at least that is my experience.
I started out with 4 of the same and now I have mixed. I really enjoy my mixed flock. It is entirely up to you.

I am sorry about your chick.

Great call on the brooder @junebuggena Expericed BYC’er
